I believe art is a response to events and circumstances within a chosen medium. Also, I believe a skillful
artist has invested many years learning theory and technique in order to master a medium which expreses
the creative process in an objective world.
Beginning with the Glassell School of Art (Museum of Fine Arts School of Art), Houston, Texas, 1975, I
have pursued an understanding of image construction, composition, the evolution of art and art history,
and the materials which can be willed into representative images.
In 1999 I graduated from Columbus State University with a BFA, then taught in the art department as
adjunct faculty from 2000-2008.
Examples of my work can be seen on the CSU Campus, Columbus Museum of Art, and the LaGrange Art
Museum, as well as at the Joseph House Gallery in Columbus, GA.

domestic qualities of a Southern woman still in tune with an agricultural past.
